On January 27th, in Travnik Municipality which is located in the northwest to Sarajevo, Ambassador of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Kazuya Ogawa attended the handover ceremony for “the Project for Improvement of Water Supply System at Local Community Karaula, Travnik” together with Mayor of Travnik Mr. Admir Hadziemric.
In 2014, the Government of Japan granted 91,748 Euros (approximately 179,443KM) to Travnik Municipality under the Grant Assistance for Human Security Grassroots Project scheme, in order for installation of water pipes in the length of 4,850 meters and construction of water reservoir with 200 cubic meters capacity in Karaula, Travnik. This project enabled stable water supply to around 2,500 residents of Karaula.
