The Government of Japan grants 216,256 EUR for four projects; three projects for primary education in Lopare, Gracanica and Banja Luka; and the other project health care for women and motherhood in Hadzici

Under the scheme of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, the Government of Japan decided to grant 69,347 Euros (approx. 136,000 KM) to Primary School Sveti Sava in Lopare; 65,502 Euros (approx. 128,000 KM) to Primary School Lukavica in Gracanica; and 55,536 Euros (approx. 109,000 KM) to Primary School Jovan Ducic in Banja Luka respectively for Rehabilitation of school institutions. Furthermore, the Government of Japan will grant 25,871Euros (50,600 KM) for the Provision of Medical Equipment for Institution for Health Protection of Women and Motherhood Sarajevo Canton in the Municipality of Hadzici as well. On March 9, in the presence of Minister of Health of Sarajevo Canton, Ms. Ademaj, Ambassador of Japan to BiH, Mr. Kazuya Ogawa signed the Grant Contracts with representatives of Primary School Sveti Sava, Primary School Lukavica, Primary School Jovan Ducic and Institution for Health Protection of Women and Motherhood Sarajevo Canton.

The Project for Rehabilitation of Primary School Sveti Sava in Lopare, Primary School Lukavica in Gracanica and Primary School Jovan Ducic in Banja Luka, as three of the four projects signed in this ceremony, will improve the educational environment for children by replacing deteriorated joineries such as windows, doors and the roof in the primary schools. Furthermore, for the Projects for the Provision of Medical Equipment for Institution for Health Protection of Women and Motherhood Sarajevo Canton in the Municipality of Hadzici will aim to build better medical environment where local people can have an examination safely by renewing an ultra-sound machine.
