On March 4, 2016, the Head of Culture and PR Section Ms. Kakuko KOTAKA visited elementary school ''Kozarska Djeca'' in Gradiška and held a presentation on Japanese language and culture to over 100 pupils and teachers. The presentation was held in light of the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following a presentation on the geography of Japan held by the pupils, Ms. Kotaka explained about a life of pupils in Japan and Japanese school customs, and was answering to various questions by pupils and teachers.  After the presentation, there was a quiz at which pupils demonstrated a great knowledge of Japan and friendship between Japan and BiH. Then, participants had an opportunity to learn some basic Japanese expressions, to speak in Japanese, as well as to practise singing a Japanese song. All participants received Nipponica, an interesting and educational  magazine about various aspects of Japanese society and culture.

Embassy of Japan hopes that this and similar presentations of Japanese culture will bring Japanese culture closer to the citizens of BiH and strengthen friendship between the two countries.
