Handover Ceremony for “the Project for Equipping Health Care Center Samac with Medical Equipment”

  

On June 15, 2016, the handover ceremony for “the Project for Equipping Health Care Center Samac with Medical Equipment” was held in Samac Health Care Center, with attendance of Deputy Head of Mission of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Kazumasa Miyazaki, Mayor of Samac Municipality Mr. Savo Minić and Director of HCC Samac Mr. Dragan Ilinčić.

Under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GAGP) scheme, The Government of Japan granted 77,869 EUR (152,300 KM) to Health Care Center Samac for installing a new multi-purpose X-ray apparatus. This project contributes to around 1,500 patients who need examination by multi-purpose X-ray apparatus directly, and around 19,000 people living in the Municipality, as well as 6,000 people living in the neighboring Municipalities of Donji Zabar and Pelagicevo indirectly.

The Government of Japan attaches importance to projects in the health care sector. Since 1996, the Government of Japan has supported around 30 projects in the sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina under the GAGP scheme.
