Handover Ceremony for “the Project for Equipping Health Care Center Domaljevac Samac with Medical Equipment”

  

On June 16, 2016, the handover ceremony for “the Project for Equipping Health Care Center Domaljevac Samac with Medical Equipment” was held in Domaljevac Samac Health Care Center, with attendance of Deputy Head of Mission of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Kazumasa Miyazaki, Mayor of Domaljevac Samac Municipality Mr. Mario Jurkić and Director of HCC Domaljevac Samac Mr. Mario Pranjić.

Under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GAGP) scheme, The Government of Japan granted 42,642 EUR (83,401.85 KM) to Health Care Center Domaljevac Samac, for installing one Ultra sound apparatus and Laboratory testing equipment set. This project directly contributes to around 600 patients who need examination by ultra sound apparatus and around 1,500 patients who need laboratory testing as well biological, bacteriological and hematological inspection in a year. Furthermore, it contributes indirectly to around 5,600 people living in the Municipality.

The Government of Japan attaches importance to projects in the health care sector. Since 1996, the Government of Japan has supported around 30 projects in the sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina under the GAGP scheme.
