The First Visit by a Japanese business mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina
October 7, 2016
On October 6th and 7th, a Japanese business mission visited Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time. The visit was planned by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and was realized with cooperation of Foreign Trade Chamber (FTC) and Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) of the country. 13 Japanese companies joined the mission.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, there has not been an actual foreign direct investment from Japan even after 20 years have passed since the end of the conflict in 1990s. During this visit, a seminar about business and investment environments, visits to several dominant companies of the country, networking with domestic and foreign companies and other occasions were organized.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first visit of the Japanese business mission is to strengthen economic relations between both countries in this memorable year.
