Signing Ceremony for Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects in Bijeljina and Rogatica

  

On 12 March, Mr. Akihito Teruuchi, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Japan, signed two Grant Contracts of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects with Mr. Radenko Savic, Director of Primary School “Knez Ivo od Semberije” in Bijeljina and Ms. Snezana Pjevcevic, Director of Primary School “Sveti Sava” in Rogatica.

The Government of Japan decided to grant 69,069 Euros (approx. 135,000 KM) for “The Project for Rehabilitation of Knez Ivo od Semberije Primary School in Bijeljina” and 74,553 Euros (approx. 146,000 KM) for “The Project for Rehabilitation of Sveti Sava Primary School in Rogatica” for replacing deteriorated joineries such as windows and doors in both schools.

These two projects will improve educational environment in the two municipalities, and about 2,000 children and 230 teachers and school staffs in the two primary schools will be directly benefitted.
