Handover Ceremony for “The Project for Equipping Health Care Center Srebrenik with an Ambulance Vehicle”

  


On 13 December 2018, a handover ceremony for The Project for Equipping Health Care Center Srebrenik with an Ambulance Vehicle” was held in the Municipality of Srebrenik with attendance of Ambassador Hideyuki Sakamoto, Mr. Bahrudin Hadziefendic, Minister of Health of Tuzla Canton, Mr.Nihad Omerovic, Mayor of Muncipality Srebrenik and Mr. Ibrahim Zukic, Director of Health Care Center Srebrenik.

The Government of Japan granted 29,207.00 EUR (57,124.79KM) to the Health Care Center for the procurement of one ambulance vehicle. Since the Center had only three ambulance vehicles which were deteriorated and had broken down frequently, they could not provide enough ambulance services to their patients in this Municipality. Total number of direct project beneficiaries is about 1,800 patients who need the service in a year.

The Government of Japan attaches importance to improvement of primary health care environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has supported more than 160 health care institutions since 1996.
