Handover Ceremony for “The Project for Rehabilitation of Vuk Karadzic Primary School in Visegrad”

 
  


On 10 June 2019, a handover ceremony for “The Project for Rehabilitation of Vuk Karadzic Primary School in Visegrad” was held in the Municipality of Visegrad with attendance of Ambassador Hideyuki Sakamoto, Mr. Mladen Durevic, Mayor of the Municipality of Visegrad, and Mr. Momir Radojcic, School Director of Vuk Karadzic Primary School.

The Government of Japan granted 68,076EUR (approx. 133,100 KM) to the Primary School for replacing of the heating boilers and repairing of the deteriorated joineries such as windows and door in the school buildings. Before realization of this project, the school was faced with a problem that there were serious problems such as danger of being injured by the broken joineries. Total number of direct project beneficiaries is about 680 students and 90 teachers and staff in the school.

The Government of Japan attaches importance to the improvement of educational environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has supported more than 90 educational institutions since 1996.
