Opening ceremony of the photo panel exhibition “The World Heritage of Japan”

On Monday, 6 November 2017, an opening ceremony of the photo panel exhibition “The World Heritage of Japan” was held at Brusa Bezistan Museum (Abadžiluk 10) in Sarajevo and attended by many guests who enjoyed 67 photographic panels of Japan’s cultural and natural sites inscribed by UNESCO as World Heritage.
Ambassador Kazuya Ogawa, in his address, pointed out that Japan had adopted culture from foreign countries while developing its own culture roooted in the sensibility nurtured by the colors of nature during the long history, and that Bosnia and Herzegovina had also a lot of cultural and natural sites, and hoped the bond between the peoples of Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina be further developed through cultural exchange.
Museum Director Mirsad Avdic said that he was honored to host the exhibition of photos of rich and beautiful heritages of Japan and wished to continue cooperation with the Japanese Embassy and other Japanese institutions.
The exhibition will be open till Tuesday, 14 November. The entrance is free of charge.
