Japanese Language Speech Contest 2018



The Forth Japanese Language Speech Contest took place on 31 March 2018 at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. Each of the ten contestants presented a 3-minute-long presentation on their personal link, experience or idea of Japan in Japanese language before the jury chaired by H.E. Hideyuki Sakamoto, Ambassador of Japan to BiH. Ambassador Sakamoto, Prof. Dr. Muhamed Dželilović, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo with Dr. Selma Đuliman, Vice-Dean of the same Faculty, opened the event.

The results of the contest are as follows:

Beginner Section
1st place: Mr. Vernes Babić – ''My Karate and the Influence of Japan''
2nd place: Ms. Amina Kahriman – ''How Japan Changed My Life''

Intermediate Section
1st place: Ms. Hanna Šiljak – ''Traffic System –First Step to a Better Country-''
2nd place: Ms. Lamija Mršo – ''Youth''

The 1st place winner of the Intermediate Section was given a round trip air ticket to Japan, sponsored by Toyota Adria.
