The Government of Japan invites youths from the Western Balkans to Japan
September 4, 2018
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) offers the youth exchange “Western Balkans meet Japan: A Bridge into the Future”, from 30 October to 7 November 2018, in cooperation with the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) , one of the key actors working on youth issues in the Western Balkans.
This exchange program invites undergraduate or graduate students aged from 20 to 30 years old from the Western Balkans to Japan. Round trip international air tickets to Japan by economy class, overseas travel accident insurance, accommodation and transportation in Japan, meals during the program, and admission fees for scheduled activities in Japan are covered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA).
Participants will have a great opportunity to explore Japan through intellectual and cultural exchange, aiming to promote mutual understanding and reconciliation as well as to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation between Japan and the WB.
This program is a part of the “Western Balkans Cooperation Initiative” announced by Japan’s Prime Minister Abe in January this year.
