Japanese Film Week 2016, organized by the Embassy of Japan in BiH, takes place as follows:
• Sarajevo, February 26-29, 18:00h, Academy of Performing Arts, University of Sarajevo – Open Stage Obala, in cooperation with the Academy of Performing Arts Sarajevo, within the Sarajevo Winter Festival. Entrance is free. The first screening will be opened by H.E. Kazuya Ogawa, Ambassador of Japan to BiH.
• Banja Luka, March 4-7, 20:00h, Dom omladine, organized in cooperation with Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka. Entrance is free. First screening will be opened by Ms. Kakuko KOTAKA, Head of Culture and PR Section, Embassy of Japan in BiH.
‘’Petal Dance’’, 2013 opens the film week, showing a life journey of four friends, followed by ‘’My Little Nightmare: The Movie’’, 2014, created after the TV drama which was a great hit in 2012. The third film to be screened is ‘’Jyokyo Monogatari – The Tokyo Losers’’, 2013 is a live action film which depicts the life story of the famous manga artist Rieko Saibara, and the last film ‘’Tamako in Moratorium’’, 2013 shows the personal growth of a young woman through the turn of the four seasons.
*The film weeks and other upcoming cultural events are organized by the Embassy of Japan in BiH to celebrate the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Films are shown with English subtitles.
